How does Wired4Charity work?
Wired4Charity is a web-based network hosted by secure servers owned and operated by Wired4Charity, Inc. This means that your data is secure and private and best of all, accessible from any computer at home, work or any place in the world, allowing your organization to be up and running in minutes and can implement the tools and upgrade your package when ever you need it.
How Can Wired4Charity be free?
W4C is the ideal stepping stone for non-profits not already using the internet to fundraise. With W4C, you will have the ability to generate revenue right through your web site, and improve your staff productivity. But as good as W4C is, it is just a taste of what the internet can offer.
We want you as our client, and we want you to grow. Joining you will be many other organizations, with similar challenges, all across the United States. As the W4C network grows, and all the individual clients grow, so grows our opportunity to offer new and exciting programs for premium fundraising. Some ideas we have planned for the future include mass email marketing, walk-a-thon fundraising services, shared raffles, and much more. Some of these services will require fees to participate, however you will not be obligated, and the benefits will always far exceed the costs.
Today, you get the services you need at a price (FREE!) you can handle. Tomorrow, you get to be part of a network that provides opportunity for many.
How does Wired4Charity's free donation services differ from paid services?
Many other organizations offer similar tools to W4C, with fees typically ranging from 2.9% - 5.9% commissions, plus setup fees that can range into the thousands of dollars. Their model is different from W4C: they will process the cards for you, and either mail you a check or deposit money into your bank account on a schedule basis.
W4C will not process the cards. Instead, your contributor's credit card information will be stored for a short time, and you will be given the opportunity to access your account and charge the card manually. Once the card is processed, the contributor's credit card information is removed from the system.
Is it worth processing cards manually to receive the funds immediately, and save on setup and commission fees? We think so, especially when you don't know what sort of volume to expect. But, if the volume becomes too large to manage, we will be offering an automated system in which the funds can be placed directly into your bank account through your own AuthorizeNet merchant program.
How does Wired4Charity's free event registration services differ from paid services?
Many other organizations offer event registration tools with commission fees typically ranging from 2.9% - 5.9%. They will process the cards for you, and either mail you a check or deposit money into your bank account on a schedule basis. However, you must manage reports manually, and you must also be able to place the events onto your own web site.
W4C will not process the cards. Instead, your contributor's credit card information will be stored for a short time, and you will be given the opportunity to access your account and charge the card manually. Once the card is processed, the contributor's credit card information is removed from the system. W4C will also give you tools to add events to your web site, and run reports on event registrations, from any computer with internet access.

What is AuthorizeNet?
AuthorizeNet is a leading provider of internet processing gateway services, and would be required so that Wired4Charity can deposit funds directly into your bank account. Unlike other vendors who share a processing gateway across many clients, Wired4Charity respects your business practices and ethical standards. With your own gateway, you are afforded the luxury of your own policies regarding purchases, returns, and other customer service issues. If you share a gateway, you are as ethical as only the worst offender also using that processing account. This obviously is a situation any reputable organization would want to avoid.
If its free, you must not offer any support, right?
Wrong! One other reason why W4C is offered for free: the application is so easy to use, support is very minimal. So we offer unlimited support--which is a lot like offering an All You Can Eat Buffet at a Fasting Convention--but its there if you need it, during normal business hours, by phone, email, or remotely through your computer.
Can I demo it before I signup?
Yes! We currently host scheduled remote seminars. Please view our event schedule, and contact us to hold your spot.
Are there any obligations?
No. W4C is as it appears--a free tool to help you generate revenue for your non-profit. If you use it, you will be rewarded, but if for some reason the program isn't working out for you, you can cancel.
